NFL Weekend #2 is here!  There are some great lessons to be learned from how successful football teams have prepared for the new season – how prepared are you for your next relationship?

TYPICAL OFF SEASON STRATEGIES

Develop Some New Plays – examine your past few relationships and look at how you celebrated  with your partner, and how you fought with them.  Was your “mix of plays” (celebrating vs. fighting) what you wanted, and did you work through disagreements to “win” or to “reach understanding”?  Before you move into your next relationship, I encourage you to have some great new “plays” (i.e., approaches) for both celebrating and working through conflict.

Bring in some New Players – is there a pattern in the people you have dated in the past that has led to recurring challenges?  How can you change the type of person you have selected to build a better “team”?
